Homeric Hymn to Dionysus8 starts with the mention of Dionysus being the son of Semele, and the last lines again mention the mother by the name. Dionysus is often mentioned as the son of Semele, putting emphasis on his mortal mother.

The Duchy of Cornwall (Cornish: Duketh Kernow) is one of two royal duchies in England, the other being the Duchy of Lancaster. The eldest son of the reigning British monarch obtains possession of the duchy and the title of 'Duke of Cornwall' at birth or when his parent succeeds to the throne, but may not sell assets for personal benefit and has limited rights and income while a minor.
The current duke is Prince William. When the monarch has no male children, the rights and responsibilities of the duchy revert to the Crown.[a]

A man in his 30s has died after a rampage saw seven other people injured following a rampage near a nightclub
Police rushed to the scene in Bodmin, Cornwall after the serious incident near the Eclipse Nightclub.
Authorities have been here since the early hours with a victim being pronounced dead at the scene.
Seven others who were injured have been taken to hospital for their injuries, according to Devon and Cornwall police.

"My thoughts are with the victims and their families."
Devon and Cornwall police also released a statement, saying: "Police were called at 3.15am on Sunday 30 April to the area of Victoria Square on Castle Canyke Road following a report of a serious altercation.
"It was further reported that someone was in possession of a knife and that multiple people had sustained suspected stab wounds.
"A man in his 30s was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
"At least seven other men and women have been injured and taken to hospital to receive treatment. At this time none are being treated as life-threatening.
"A 24-year-old man from Bodmin has been arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody at this time."

An almost identical structure to the now-famous Utah monolith has been found across the world in Romania. Why is it called a freemartin? Freemartins are women who are born sterile due to exposure to male hormones in the womb. This is the same condition that affects some calves, who are born and referred to as "freemartins."
Does a freemartin have to be a twin? Scientific studies have shown that in calves, freemartinism occurs when the male twin shares hormones with the female, rendering it infertile. In Brave New World, the hormones are introduced artificially and the freemartins need not be twins.
Can a freemartin get pregnant? A freemartin cannot get pregnant. The hormone treatments render the women infertile, allowing them to more easily engage in the free love that the state encourages.
Why are freemartins sterile? They are sterile due to purposeful exposure to male hormones. Since children are all created artificially, this allows the freemartins to engage in sex without any consequences.

Matilda was the first wife and queen consort of King Henry I of England. Matilda was born in 1080, in Dunfermline, on the east coast of Scotland, the daughter of King Malcolm III and the future Saint, English Princess, Margaret. From the age of 6, Matilda and her younger sister Mary, were raised under the protection of their aunt Cristina, a nun in the convent at Romsey, England, and later at Wilton. Matilda had blond hair and blue eyes, and was said to be very beautiful. Matilda was much sought-after as a bride.
After the death of king William II of England in August 1100, Henry I quickly seized the royal treasury, and the crown.
His next task was to marry, and his choice fell on Matilda. Because she had spent most of her life in a nunnery, there was some controversy over whether or not she had taken vows as a nun, and thus be ineligible for Marriage. Henry sought permission for the marriage, from the Bishops of Canterbury.
Matilda testified to the assembled bishops that she had never taken vows as a nun. She insisted that her parents had sent her and her sister, to England for educational purposes, and that her aunt Cristina had veiled her, to protect her "from the lust of the Normans."
Matilda claimed at one point she had even pulled the veil off and stamped on it, and her aunt beat and scolded her most horribly for this. The council concluded that Matilda had never been a nun, nor had her parents intended that she become one, and gave their permission for the marriage.
Through her mother, Matilda was descended from king Edmund Ironside, and thus from Alfred the Great.
She was also a great-niece of Edward the Confessor, and the old line of the kings of Wessex. The marriage represented a union between the new Norman rulers of England, and the old Anglo-Saxon dynasty. Three of Matilda's brothers served as kings of Scotland at different times, and were known to be unusually friendly to England.
Matilda and Henry were married on 11th November 1100 at Westminster Abbey. A well-educated woman, Matilda brought both religious and cultural improvements to the court, and acted as vice-regent when her husband Henry was away from England. Her court was filled with musicians and poets, and like her mother, she was renowned for her devotion to religion, and the poor. She was described as attending church barefoot at Lent, washing the feet and kissing the hands of the sick.

She was for everyone the benchmark of morals and the ornament of life".
Matilda was not only an able queen, and occasionally vice-regent of England, but also a pious woman who cared for the less fortunate of her realm. After her death, she was remembered by her subjects as "Matilda the Good Queen" and "Matilda of Blessed Memory."
For a time, sainthood was sought for her, although she was never canonized.

It’s actually a piece of art by Damien Hirst that was first shown in Venice, where it stood within a classical building, and was part of a collection telling a fictional tale of an ancient shipwreck.
